Chamonix Heli-Skiing and Heli-Boarding

Heli-skiing on the south face of the Mont Blanc
Heli-Skiing has to be the ultimate high octane skiing and snowboarding experience. Escape the resort and access untracked powder in a stunning big mountain environment.
It’s just a short transfer from Chamonix to heliports in neighbouring Switzerland and Italy from where the incredible natural terrain of the Mont Blanc massif.
You will be accompanied by a local UIAGM certified High Mountain Guide and Heli-Ski specialist. Your guide will show you the best snow on the mountain that day whilst tailoring the route to your group’s skiing ability.
Putting safety firmly at the top of the agenda, your Chamonix Sport Montagne guide carries a backcountry first aid kit and is fully trained in avalanche rescue. You will also be equipped with a harness, transceiver, probe and shovel.
To really enjoy your heli-skiing trip, you need to be a good all-piste skier or snowboarder and be confident off-piste, in powder, on moguls and steep slopes. Skiers are advised to use new style freeride or fat skis which allow you to ski without exhaustion, even in heavy snow conditions. Vallée Blanche Descent
340 € per group of 1-4 people, +30 € for each additional person

Ski or snowboard the world famous Vallée Blanche with Chamonix Sport Aventure.
This descent is the ultimate backcountry route covering 23 km of off-piste and a vertical drop of 2800 m. Starting at the top of Aiguille du Midi (3800 m), the route drops down through the peaks of the Mont Blanc Massif and over the Mer de Glace glacier before finishing back in Chamonix.
During this full day descent, you will be accompanied by a UIAGM qualified Mountain Guide who, from his or her professional experience and local knowledge, will tailor the route to the ability of your group and the conditions on the day, enabling you to enjoy the magnificent scenery in safety.

Canyoning in the Chamonix Valley

Jump, scramble, climb, abseil and swim your way down the steep canyons of the Chamonix Valley.
With Chamonix Sport Aventure, you can try canyoning as a half-day activity in an easy canyon, or opt for a more challenging full-day adventure in a steeper, longer canyon.
Canyoning is a great group activity and with a choice of canyons, there’s something for everyone. You’re never forced to make the jumps, but if you are up for a bit of adrenalin, your guide will point out some great toboggan slides and leaps of up to 12 m!
For your saftey and enjoyment, you will be accompanied by a UIAGM-qualified Mountain Guide who specialises in canyoning.

Via Ferrata in Chamonix Mont Blanc

Experience the thrill of rock climbing without the risk.
Via Ferrata is great for families and groups of friends who want an easily accessible outdoor adventure. It’s a step up from alpine hiking, but doesn’t demand the technical skill of climbing.
Using a harness and 2 slings to attach yourself to a cable embedded in the rock face, you climb what may seem like an impossible route. For extra safety, you will be roped up to your UIAGM-qualified Mountain Guide.
There are some fantastic via ferrata courses under an hour’s drive from Chamonix. And as long as you have a head for heights, everyone including total beginners and children from age 10-12 years old can enjoy the sport.
