We take advantage of the helicopter to go on the summit of the Needle of the Glaciers. Descent on this southeastern side of the glacier below the pass of the "Middle Ages". We walk to the pass (1hr.1/2) with skis on the bag. Crampons can be useful if the snow is hard...
Option 1: descent on the glacier of Tré-la-Tête down to the Contamines village
Option 2: descent to the Robert Blanc hut then hike to the Mt Tondu 3169 m (around 2hrs, 700m high) then huge descent to the Contamines village.

A tremendous way of climbing Mont Blanc. We are off the classic track, we are on the royal road next to the needle of Bionnassay. The ridge we climb from the Peak of the Italians 4002 m, landing place, is magnificent. The descent of the north face is spectacular because the route interferes between seracs in steady slopes. The heli-skiing presents the advantage not to spend too much time at high altitude and limit the risks bound to the height allowing to take advantage completely of the summit and its descent.
Descent: between 2500 m and 3500 m according to the snow coverage and to the chosen route (+ 850 m of ascent)

Departure from the Thuile ski resort on the italian side of the french ski resort of La Rosière (we need to drive 1hr. from Chamonix). There are several peaks where to be dropped by helicopter between 2800 and 3500 m : Mt Rutor, Mt Freduaz, Miravidi, Becca Bianca… It is possible to be dropped on the french border to ski down to Sainte Foy (Tarentaise). Then after the lunch we can take cable cars to reach the departure point.

Several flights are possible in this wild valley: Chateau Blanc, Becca di Tos, Ormelune... All of them are between 1500 m to 2000 m downhill. We can rest and have a delicious lunch in a typical italian inn.

Chamonix is not far from the italian DZ in Courmayeur. We propose in this program two flights in Italy (needle of the Eagle or of the Glaciers) then a second drop on the Mt Fortin which offers a magnificent panorama in high mountain and interesting descents. The next day we shall take advantage of the valley Blanche and of its various routes to admire the summits of the massif of the Mont Blanc.
1st day: departure from Chamonix to Courmayeur, we choose according to the best conditions a flight on the Needle of the Glaciers, or on the needle of the Eagle, Lée Blanche, col de La Scie …1700 meters downhill through wide glaciers and we reach the Combal lake.
A short break before the helicopter picks us up again in the direction of the Mt Fortin. In front of the Mont Blanc, the place is gorgeous. Regular and fantastic slopes enable us to reach the Val Vény where we can taste the local italian plates.
2nd day: Let's take the Aiguille du Midi cable car to the summit (3840 m, approximately 40 minutes). We are hiking down a thin and impressive ridge during 20 min before putting skis for the descent. According to the level of the guests, different routes are possible.
We can have a break for a nice picnic on the way down in a spectacular landscape or spend some time for a lunch in the Requin hut. According to the snow coverage, we ski down again to Chamonix or take the Montenvers train

Sector Pollux - Castor
We land at 3800 m between the two famous twins Pollux (4091 m) and Castor (4228 m). After admiring the panorama, we shall begin this magnificent descent on the big glacier of Verra, then we shall pass the Mezzalama hut and finish in the middle of trees of the Plans of Verra (2500 m). The helicopter can land here to pick up us for a second flight to the Felik pass.
Col du Lys - Mt Rose (4300 m)
Panorama: 360 ° over the Alps, on the highest heli-skiing place in Europe! Landing on the Lys Pass(4300 m), near the Margherita hut. We ski the Grenzgletscher (glacier) until the junction with the biggest glacie of the Mount Rose: the Gornergletscher. We stay on the italian side for a magnificent descent through the 4000 m peaks of the Mt Rose.
