Bureau des Guides – Aqua Trekking
Half-day trip 35€, full day 60€ | From 8 years old.
Aqua trekking is the pure fun side of canyoning. The route isn’t as steep, so you can ditch the harness and the ropes and concentrate on leaping off boulders, swimming down whitewater and just having a good time.
The Bureau des Guides de Canyon offer 2 different aqua trekking trips:
Couloir Samson – Half Day
A half-day aqua trekking descent through the entrance to the Verdon Grand Canyon. Pure refreshing fun. It’s great for groups and families with bigger jumps for the more adventurous in your party, but no obstacle is compulsory.
The Imbut – Full Day
Spend a full, intensive day exploring the most beautiful and wild parts of the Verdon Grand Canyon. The Bureau des Guides de Canyon will show you one of Verdon’s classic aqua-trekking descents with its secret spots and underground sections. An energetic 4.5 hours in the river plus the hike in and a long hike back out means you need to be quite fit to enjoy this trip.
The trip is run when the river flow is low, but on request it can be run during high water, but it’s a whole different ballgame and you need to be a strong swimmer and very fit.
