Tignes Altitude Challenge – MTB Charity Day
July 20, 2016
30€
Ride a mountain bike down the vertical height of Mount Everest in a day!
Startline MTB’s 3rd annual charity bash for Alzheimer’s Research UK. Ride bikes, wear fancy dress, win prizes, drink beer, listen to live music & raise money for a great cause!
The event is open to any mountain bikers wanting to take part, and includes different route lengths for less experienced bikers as well as those seeking a longer distance.
The Challenge
Ride down the equivalent of Mount Everest in a day. That’s 8,848 meters!
If you don’t feel up to Mount Everest, choose another famous summit – Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro, Ben Nevis, Snowdon or Scarfell Pike.
Now don’t get confused here, we’re not actually going to ride down Mount Everest… We’ll be in the Tignes bikepark riding the same vertical height!
Raise Money for Alzheimer’s Research UK
100% of the money raised goes to Alzheimer’s Research UK – the UK’s leading research charity aimed at defeating dementia.
Join the Team and Get Sponsored
Cycling down the vertical height of Everest is a real challenge. Each lap you’ll drop 5-700 m and a lap can take anything from 20 minutes to one hour. So it’s a full day on the bike and if you get sponsorship, you’ll earn every penny!

If you don’t join the team don’t worry, you can still turn up on the day and get involved by paying the 30€ entry fee, which includes a barbecue and live music at the end of the day, as well as tickets for a raffle with top prizes including a stay in a five-star hotel.
