Throughout the summer months the river guides at IBAYAK Rafting are keen to share their passion and take you for a wild ride on the rivers of the Southern French Alps. Choose the Durance for a leisurely class III through beautiful Alpine scenery, step it up a notch with some steep and technical rafting on the Guil or go for a guaranteed soaking on the class 5 Ubaye. Whichever river you choose, you’re in safe hands, all trips are undertaken by a fully qualified raft guide.
Just bring a sense of adventure, an old pair of trainers and a swim suit, and everything else is provided, including a helmet, wetsuit, life-jacket and paddle.

Rafting the Durance – Class III – from 28€
The perfect trip for families with younger kids and first time river runners, this is fun paddle through beautiful Alpine scenery. The climax is the legendary Rabioux wave where you’re guaranteed a good soaking!
Rafting the Guil – Class III-IV – from 36€
The Guil is renowned among river runners as being one of the best rafting descents in France. The sheer variety on offer means IBAYAK Rafting can offer 3 very different trips, from pure fun wavey class III to steep, tight and technical class IV. The descent from Chateau Queyras is unforgettable! A typical descent takes 1.5 hours, but you can combine it with another section to extend your trip.
Rafting the Ubaye – Class III-V – from 40€
Running from the mountain village of La Fresquière all the way to the Serre-Ponçon lake, the Ubaye is one of France’s legendary class V rivers. IBAYAK Rafting offer 2 very different trips – the upper section taking on class V rapids and the lower section for class III fun. A typical descent takes 1.5 hours, but you can extend your trip by combining the two sections.
Rafting the Verdon – Class II-IV – from 35€
Breathtaking scenery and fun whitewater is what’s in store for you if you take on the mighty Verdon. Departing from near Castellane, IBAYAK Rafting offer 3 trips of varying length from a 1.5 hour discovery descent to a full day taking you all the way to the sheer walls of the Verdon Grand Canyon.
