SpinOut – Windsurfing School on Almanarre Beach in the South of France
Kitesurfing lessons for all levels on the internationally renowned Almanarre Beach on the Presqu’île de Giens near Hyères.
SpinOut can cater for complete beginners through to advanced windsurfers looking to perfect their sailing.
The Spot
The windsurf school is located in Camping International at the southernmost end of Almanarre bay, about 15 km from the town of Hyères. Almanarre beach is 4 km long and slopes gently out to sea making this spot ideal to learn. There’s no shore break even when there’s a strong onshore wind. However, for your safety, the school has 2 rescue boats.
The Windsurf Lessons
The combination of experienced instructors who use the latest teaching methods, great windsurfing conditions and the location of the school right on the spot mean that you’ll progress as fast as possible.
Courses begin each Monday morning at 10:00 am. So that you can get set up with the right gear, if possible it’s a good idea to check in on the Sunday before. That way, you don’t even lose a second of precious windsurfing time.
Joining a course later in the week is no problem under good conditions, and it is also possible to extend a 3-day course to a 5-day course.
Other activities
SpinOut also have sea kayaks and mountain bikes for rent. The stretch of coast directly along the western side of the peninsula is ideal for exploring in a sea kayak, whilst the nearby island of Porquerolles has some great mountain biking trails. You can rent a bike for 20 € per day and a kayak for 40 € per day.
If there’s no wind, don’t dispair, SpinOut can also offer wakeboarding.
